Year Anniversary

Hello, travelers :)

So, it’s been a year since I created this blog. I haven’t updated it very often in the past year, but it’s nice to know that it’s been around for that long. Plenty has changed in my life since the start of this blog, yet there has also been plenty that has stayed the same.

I’d like to remind all of my potential readers that everything you read and watch on the internet is temporal–that content that you enjoy so often is not guaranteed to exist tomorrow or even in the next hour. Hell, this article could be wiped from this website tomorrow. This is a stark reminder to DOWNLOAD EVERYTHING THAT YOU WANT TO KEEP. For example, if you want to read this article in the future, don’t rely on me to have it hosted here forever (although that would be great.)

In the past, it was all too common for publications to rely on publishers that you had to make a deal with to get your articles posted. Even when you did, you also had to contend with censorship or general regulations that the publishers must comply to. Now, you can put this article on a USB drive and send it to a remote location. If you wanted to be extra spicy, if this article manages to find its way to the point where space travel is common, you could bring this article with you to Mars in a perfect state.

That’s all I have for you for this anniversary. Perhaps there will be more posts in the future!
